As part of our initiatives to raise awareness of the urgent need for a new European Parliament Diabetes Resolution and to celebrate the Centenary of the discovery of insulin, on November 21-24, IDF Europe and MEPs Mobilising for Diabetes (MMD) held an exhibition on the history of diabetes hosted by MEP Romana Jerković at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

At the exhibition, visitors were able to read about the history of the discovery of insulin and the new treatments and technologies developed since. With the discovery of insulin, diabetes became a treatable disease but there remains much more to be done to ensure best possible health outcomes and quality of life.
